Step-by-Step Process for Housemaid Visa Application

Step 1: Entry Permit Application

The first step is to submit your application to the GDFRA

Step 2: Maid’s Arrival & Medical Examination

If the maid is outside the UAE, she must enter using the entry permit. She will then undergo a medical fitness test and biometric registration for the Emirates ID.

Step 3: Emirates ID & Health Insurance Registration

Once the maid clears all the medical tests she shall be registered with an Emirates ID. Following which, the sponsor should get health insurance for her. As per UAE law, all domestic workers must have health insurance coverage before visa stamping.

Step 4: Labor Contract & Visa Stamping

A standardized labor contract must be signed by both parties, after which the residence visa is stamped in the maid’s passport.
